Environmental choices and Innovations

The IREGE researchers are working on the unifying theme of “Environmental Choices & Innovations” with the objective of studying the determinants, processes and consequences of environmental choices and innovations.

In connection with two major societal challenges, the ecological transition and the knowledge economy, the two multidisciplinary axes contribute to a better understanding of the adoption of innovative and responsible approaches at the individual, organizational and societal levels, and to the evaluation of their effects, especially when they are encouraged by public policies.

Environment, Sustainable Consumption, Tourism (ECDT)
This axis focuses on the energy transition and the circular economy and the attractiveness of tourism and the territories in order to :

  • better understand the behaviors of the various private and public actors and the functioning of the economy as a whole in the face of growing environmental constraints;
  • deduce managerial and public policy recommendations.

Innovation and Organization Development (IDO)
This axis focuses on open and collaborative innovation and CSR, diversity and health, with the ambition:

  • to understand the strategies of technological and/or non-technological innovation and Corporate Social Responsibility CSR ;
  • to understand the underlying processes and their impacts in terms of creation and capture of economic and social value.

Each axis is led by a bi-disciplinary team mobilizing various theoretical approaches and methodologies.
The visibility of the scientific production is ensured by the publication of books, articles in leading academic journals and participation in reference conferences in France and abroad, but also a presence in the media and the animation of numerous events for the socio-economic world.
